    Job Opportunity: Estate and Facilities Manager

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estate and Facilities Manager to join our client in a temporary post, covering sickness leave. The post holder will be working full time from the North London office.

    The successful candidate will own a patch of approximately units, including shared ownership and general needs homes. They will be expected to seek out solutions for all customers, regardless of their needs, and think independently and creatively.

    The geographical patch covers North-East London (Waltham Forest), with a full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of/experience in:

    • Providing a professional and knowledgeable estate and facilities service to residents in various tenures and resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
    • Estate Inspections: Inspecting and grading communal areas and estates, raising and following up on appropriate corrective actions to customer resolution.
    • Estate and facilities management: Providing a responsive and efficient estate, block, and facilities management service to ensure residents' communal areas and neighbourhoods are pleasant, well-maintained, and safe places to live.
    • Service Charges: Understanding services and charges provided to estates, properties, and communal areas and checking the quality of services to ensure they represent value for money.
    • Tackling and reducing the effects of anti-social behaviour on estates and in communal areas (this is a key part of the role).
    • Ensuring agents comply with contractual obligations and monitoring the quality of work.
    • Housing sector knowledge, including property management, service charges, health and safety, personal safety, and working with vulnerable people.

    Please note that a car driver/owner is not essential for this role as you can get around your patch by foot and public transport. Expertise in income recovery or estate services is not needed, as there are other teams who specialise in these areas.

    The successful candidate must be able to start on short notice (1 week's notice period maximum) and be available for interviews in early October.
