Head of Youth Work Services
Contract:
Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week*
Location: Norwich (with county wide remit) and occasional working from home
Salary:
Starting salary £39,594 per annum with incremental progression based on performance to £45,435 per annum
Closing date: 9am Tuesday 4th July 2023

About the Role
MAP have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and highly organised individual with proven experience of management and delivering services to young people to be our strategic lead for our Youth Work Services and join our Senior Management Team.
30 staff who provide opportunities to young people, those we are already working with and those we are still to reach, to support the young people to be leaders, take on responsibilities and inspire other young people through a range of programmes and projects.
This will include the leadership and management of:
- A highly motivated team.
- MAP's external communication and campaigns.
- Performance, projects and budgets ensuring service delivery is effective, safe and on budget with successful outcomes for young people being the key driver.
- Research and develop new and existing services and resources for the team.
- Safeguarding and risk management, ensuring processes and procedures are in place for the young people.
- Maintaining operational systems, policies and procedures, in compliance with legislation, regulations and quality standards.
- Maintaining and promoting a positive, reflective and valuebased culture.
About You
Experience of working with young people as well as the ability to motivate and lead a team, with excellent decision-making skills and an understanding of project and risk management is essential to succeed in this role.
This is a fundamental role within the MAP Senior Management Team and is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is looking to develop their career within Youth Work and has a genuine desire to deliver youth services that enable and amplify youth voice.
