Description

Inclusive Consulting is thrilled to be partnering with a young people's support charity in their search for a Senior Residential Care Worker in Oldham.

The charity focuses on providing person-centered care to young people who have additional needs, and this particular role will be in a bespoke one bed provision, converted specifically to cater to this service user's needs.

You will be working as part of a team of at least 3-4 people, although our client prides themselves on ensuring that staff levels exceed requirements to ensure the best possible service.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape a new kind of person-focused care, which will pave the way for further initiatives and improve the services others will receive, while also making a direct difference to the life of the young person in your care.

Taking on this position, you will be leading shifts with the staff and getting to know the service user so you can appropriately plan the day based on their needs.

You will be the first point of contact for this person including for their family or medical needs, and will ensure the charity's policies are diligently followed at all times.

You will also ensure that day-to-day tasks such as cooking or cleaning are completed, providing support where needed.

Your role will be very hands-on and involved with the service user, but as the provision is brand new there will be plenty of room for suggestions to drive change and improvements, with many progression opportunities including fund for further qualifications.

This role would suit an open-minded and patient individual with experience working in an Ofsted regulated environment. You must have a supportive nature and a desire to improve services for those in your care.

You will be a senior member of a highly skilled and compassionate team providing specialised care for one service user.

Shifts will vary from Monday - Sunday with some flexibility in the rolling rota, but will involve 12-hour day shifts, sleep-ins, and night shifts up to 37.5 hours per week.
