2Excel Special Missions (SpM) delivers specialist aviation services to the UK Government and industry customers. We are now looking to recruit a Head of SpM, to join our friendly and exceptionally talented SpM Team.

Reporting to the Director of Special Missions, providing essential support to the senior leadership team in delivering our aviation services.

You will lead a growing team experienced in operational and commercial issues, including project management and business development.

The role will require communication with our key customers and company staff at varying levels to assist with the running of the Division.

The role's key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Oversight of the SpM Flying Programme
Crewing for all SpM flight crew (roster production, leave requests)
Supporting base managers (administrative duties)
Assisting Heads of Department with performance reporting
Management of senior divisional meetings, to maintain agendas, produce minutes and record decisions and actions.
Safety and risk management
Project management, including the introduction of the new aircraft, bases, and services.
Business development, bid writing and management.
Knowledge and experience of aviation operations
Project management skills (Prince2 Qualifications would be an advantage)
Ability to manage and participate in bidwriting and competitive tenders.
Experience in risk and safety management
Previous commercial experience contracts, performance reporting and invoices.
The ability to communicate at all levels and intelligently support other team members at meetings with clients and partners.

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

Please note:
Travel to other company sites and client locations will be required, along with occasional weekend work.
