CAD TECHNICIAN

£25K - £30K

Page 1 Recruitment are excited to be working in Partnership with a growing Engineering business in Sheffield. Due to continuous growth, our client is currently on the lookout for a CAD Technician to join their team.


The ideal person for this role will be passionate about their work as well as someone who enjoys working in a creative fast passed environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Creating highquality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs
  • Using a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models
  • Working closely with engineers and designers to understand their design requirements.
  • Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
  • Present working drawings for use in all stages of different projects
  • Produce installation and manufacturing documentation
  • Maintain accurate records.

About you

  • Knowledge of engineering principles
  • Ability to create and read technical drawings
  • Experience using computeraided design software such as Autocad and Solidworks
  • Good attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Spatial and design skills to be able to visualise projects in 2D and 3D
  • Innovative and creative
