£40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience

Full time, London and office based

About The Role
This role oversees our mission of ensuring every individual is given the opportunity to succeed and thrive in work.

As the Head of Delivery you will lead the delivery team and manage the academy spaces, operations and all programmes both online and at our two academies in Central London.

You will ensure all Well Grounded training programmes are delivered to the highest quality.


You will lead on safeguarding, implement new learning solutions to ensure every individual realises their full potential, and ensure compliance with funding, regulatory and quality bodies such as Ofsted.

In partnership with the wider team, you will ensure learners progress into appropriate employment or other outcomes.

You will lead, motivate and develop your delivery team through ongoing supervision, appropriate structured learning and ongoing CPD, and 1-2-1 support.

Key tasks and accountabilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Accountable for ensuring each individual learner is given the highest quality experience possible so they can reach their full potential across their whole journey with WG.
  • Accountable for planning operational delivery and ensuring all activity is delivered to agreed outcomes/quality, with appropriate planning and delegation to team members.
  • Accountable for all training and delivery targets, ensuring KPIs are met and delivered on time and budget, including achievement, retention and progress of learners alongside spend and contractual obligations for all funders and contractors.
  • Lead on partnership working with key stakeholders at senior levels in public, private and third sector organisations enhancing the development and delivery of programmes.
  • Ensure effective communication with contract holders, raising risks and successes on time.
Performance, Continuous learning, Quality, Risk and Compliance

  • Ensure WG is delivering to quality, ensuring that the appropriate processes, documentation etc. are in place to drive a process of continuous improvement and meet the requirements of funding, inspection bodies and most importantly learners and employers.
  • Ensure all monitoring and evaluation is gathered and analysed by the whole WG team, utilising data as a reflection and improvement tool.
  • Take responsibility for raising risks to the CEO on achieving targets.
  • Manage ongoing use of optimisation of the elearning platform, Aptem, and effective use across the team, reporting improvements and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, against targets, as required.
  • Ensure real time progress reporting of all learners, checking data and making sure that learners are seen and are on track with their programme and supported where risk is raised.
  • Safeguarding Designated Lead and Health and safety lead, managing and raising risk to the CEO.
  • Develop and implement learning programmes that make the best use of available resources, designing and delivering educational materials, elearning courses, seminars, workshops and other training, whilst updating learning programmes to ensure that they are current and of high quality for the industry.
People and General Management
