Safety Camera Operations Viewer**
Salary: The starting salary is £30,450, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.

The salary is broken down as £27,609 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £29,676. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Key Responsibilities
What does the average day look like? Your core duties will include:

Ensure all Speed and Red-Light related offences received via the digital Safety Camera systems are viewed in accordance with legislation
Undertake secondary checks on the offences received from the digital network as part of the viewing process
Undertake Police National Computer (PNC) checks for all Safety Camera Activations and searching PNC to identify the correct vehicle registration
Ensure all offences are accounted for in accordance with guidelines and procedures
Complete evidential statements in relation to cases that are being dealt with through the Prosecutions process
Identify any persistent offenders and ensure all appropriate action is taken
Attend court and give evidence if or when necessary
Undertake any other administrative duties as directed

How to apply

Essential Criteria

Good working knowledge of information technology, including Microsoft Office programs
Be willing to complete a PNC training course in order to fulfil the role

Desirable Criteria

An understanding of Safety Camera processes and the underpinning legislation, Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988, and the Road Traffic Act 198
Awareness of the Mayors Vision of zero people killed or seriously injured on London's Roads by 2041
