Responsibilities:

• To manage work loads and ensure work demands is done to a high standard in a time frame for members of staff on the factory floor.
• Fabricate and weld metal components according to specifications including stainless steel.
• Perform stick welding and operate power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence of operations
• Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and dimensions
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards
• Operate hand tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, and drills
• Work with sheet metal and other materials to fabricate products
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Proficient in welding techniques, including stick welding
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment used in fabrication for gates, railings and handrails.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
• Mechanical knowledge for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in fabrication

Pay:
£13.41-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 per week
