Outline of Duties

Assemble and fabricate metal components based on provided blueprints and specifications
Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and welding metal
Perform sheet metal fabrication and welding tasks to create finished products
Conduct stick welding and other types of welding to join metal pieces together
Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabricated components through careful inspection and measurement
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in metal fabrication and welding is required
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of various welding techniques, including stick welding
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in metal fabrication
Math skills for measurements and calculations
A detailorientated and methodical approach
Understanding of technical documents and drawings
Manual skills and a steady hand
A good level of fitness and resilience
