Non Food - Product Technologist - Electricals

As a Product Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of Sainsbury's brand products, working collaboratively with suppliers, product developers, trading, supply chain, and retail teams.

  • As a Product Technologist in our Electricals team at Sainsbury's, your role will encompass the management and delivery of all aspects of the Sainsbury's Brand product and technical plans for the Electrical product area. You will work closely with suppliers, product developers, trading, supply chain, and retail teams to ensure the safe, legal, and highquality production of Sainsbury's brand products that meet agreed specifications, standards, and policies. In this role, your focus will be on driving the quality and technical agenda for the Electrical product area, including the delivery of our Net Zero commitments and keeping the customer at the heart of all decisions. You will be responsible for managing and improving the technical performance of the product area, ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of Sainsbury's brand products while maintaining brand reputation and due diligence. Additionally, you will manage projects to improve product quality, implement quality standards, and proactively manage the supply base to drive the technical agenda and deliver a step change in product quality. Your role will also involve setting supplier KPIs, managing supplier compliance, and implementing joint business plans and technical plans to enhance product quality and align with the Sainsbury's brand strategy. Throughout your work, you will demonstrate commercial awareness, strong technical knowledge, and attention to detail, while driving improvements and ensuring the accurate communication of product information and adherence to standards and regulations.
  • As a Product Technologist for Sainsbury's, you are an experienced professional responsible for managing the delivery of product and technical plans within the Electricals product area. With a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and supplier performance, you collaborate closely with suppliers, product developers, trading, supply chain, and retail teams to ensure the consistent production of highquality products that meet the specified standards, policies, and customer requirements.
