£60,000 - £70,000 plus bonus

Network HR has been retained by a leading global independent investment bank to support with the search for an experienced VP Learning & Development.

This established organisation is determined to become the premier firm for talented bankers to develop to theirhighest potential.

This role will play a key part in the ongoing strategic development and execution of highly customised learning & development & talent programmes across EMEA in conjunction with the UK HR team and the US Talent Development team.

The environment is highly entrepreneurial and will allow the job holder to take on a lot of responsibility for developing new programmes that will make a direct and meaningful impact on the firm.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Close consultation and strong working relationships with the business and Human Capital Group leaders to establish learning development & talent priorities
  • Design and execution of bespoke talent and learning initiatives to support the business and people goals
  • Programme management of these initiatives, including some platform delivery of training programmes
  • Building and maintaining necessary talent infrastructure (processes, systems, reporting & communication)
  • Design and delivery of bespoke training programmes to support business DE&I goals
  • Measure, track and analyse the progress and effectiveness of DE&I initiatives; develop metric to assess success, support accountability and provide solutions
  • Identify and develop partnerships with external organisations, speakers, experts and other resources to enhance capability and enable scaling of solutions and impact

  • Experience in design and execution of bespoke talent and learning initiatives in Banking / Financial Services (essential)
  • Able and willing to skilfully execute administrative/organisational aspects of programmes
  • Ability to independently build, plan and progress work against broad objectives
  • Skills and experience in deploying virtual, online and hybrid learning initiatives
  • Degree qualified or an applicable L&D recognised qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
  • Team mentality and strong work ethic
  • Wellorganised and able to effectively multitask and progress many initiatives at once
  • Confidence and resilience to interact successfully with senior investment bankers
