Our accommodation team working in Bretton, Peterborough provide ongoing support to service users living in accommodation at The Cresset.

Residents are given help and support with budgeting, seeking employment (including CV writing and interviewing skills), health (mental and physical), social needs and independent living.


Job role


This role is aimed at an entry level for a passionate person wanting to move into the supported housing field, learning to work with a variety of people from all walks of life who may be vulnerable and require some assistance and support in order to live independently.


To work with the team in supporting a small case load of people, providing support and encouraging people to gain the skills and knowledge they will need in order to maintain independent accommodation after resettlement by working through a personalised support plan.

This will include working with the Project workers to complete assessments, key working and teaching life skills.

To create an environment that is homely, welcoming, and safe in which clients can engage and develop.


Main Tasks

  • To ensure that professionalism in maintained and all Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
  • Participate in the Project staff/team meetings and contribute to the general development of the Project
  • To support reception as and when required maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • To take payments, cashing up the tills, investigate any under/overs,
  • To ensure all monies are banked and recorded on a regular basis.
  • To work with Project Workers to ensure completion of all associated administration ensuring accurate record keeping and collection of statistical information in line with the Data protection act and GDPR.
  • To ensure that services are clean, secure, safe and do not contravene Health & Safety legislation

Key skills, experience and personal qualities

  • Passion for working with people with complex needs.
  • Ability to write reports, keep case notes and client records.
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car, in order to participate in the on call rota.

Days and hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm. Flexibility is required to cover as part of on call process. This may include evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.


Salary & Benefits Annual salary £ / Hourly rate £10.54.
