About the role


As a Payments Specialist at Equals Group you will be working as part of a dedicated team to help support the international payment services that we provide to our customers.


The main purpose of this role will be supporting the various customer facing teams and providing support with payment queries and investigations.


About you

Responsibilities

  • Providing payment support, managing payment queries / queues and resolving in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that processes and procedures relating to payment investigations are adhered to
  • Managing payment queries, such as;
  • Setting up new beneficiary details
  • Investigating incorrect beneficiary details
  • Investigating Return of Funds
  • Starting and managing payment traces, recalls and amendments liaising with both banks, internal teams, and clients
  • Work cooperatively with peers and other departments, keeping appropriate individuals informed at all times
  • Conducting root cause analysis and providing ongoing recommendations / solutions to improve processes and efficiencies, such as payment returns
  • Assisting with creating a Support team that puts the Customer at the centre of everything
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties / projects which may be required from time to time

Essential Skills
Attention to detail and an understanding of risk

Knowledge and practical experience of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Good organisational and time management skills

Excellent telephone manner

Good communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work as part of a team

Numeracy and literacy skills

Practical experience of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)


Desirable Skills
Previous relevant experience in a payments role / financial services environment
