Hunter Mental Health is currently supporting a fantastic CAMHS service within on of the most favourable NHS Trusts who is based in the South East London area and they are in need of an experienced Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to join their team.

The trust providea varied wide range of healthcare services to those in the London borough. This trust have specialised in community health, mental health and learning disability services.

They have proven their credibility in their care for people of all ages and work closelywith a variety of partners to ensure that our services are well-integrated and wide-ranging.


We are looking for an experienced CAMHS Practitioner with a background of nurse, soical worker or psychologist to join this CAMHS team working with children and adolescence with a variety of complex mental health conditions and assessments on a 37.5-hourlocum contract which is an initial 3-month contract of 5 days a week with a strong intent to extend further.

The pay range we are offering is £ ph depending on experience and banding.

The details of the role are as follows:

  • To manage a defined caseload of young people and their families and carers
  • working with the MDT
  • To coordinate and deliver individualised care packages / programmes for adolescents and their families and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and trust policy.
  • To develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with young people and their families/carers.
  • To liaise with the young person's professional network, keeping them informed of developments, changes in risk status and promoting multi agency collaboration. Liaison with Children's Specialist Services, Educational services, independent sector mentalhealth providers, counsellors and any other professional related to the child care.
  • To deliver time limited evidencebased psychological therapy to CYP and families


The role will focus on sssessments and interventions on children of primary school age and the service can offer a mix of in person and remote.
