This is your opportunity to join a welcoming school, who go to great lengths to provide support for their students with SpecialEducational Needs across the ages of 5-16 years.


The senior leaders at the school are looking to appoint a confident, knowledgeable practitioner who has a real understanding and passion for supporting and teaching children with SEND, specifically Autism and SEMH.

Upon joining the school, you will work inpartnership with class teachers to ensure each pupils needs are met in line with EHCP's (if already in place).

The Incoming Teaching Assistant

  • Will ideally have either professional or personal experience with SEN, although this is not essential
  • Must be able to effectively support the Class Teacher, by delivering high quality, creative, childcentred and challenging learning experiences to individuals and smaller groups.
  • Will have excellent experience and/or great enthusiasm in working with children who have SEND
  • Can use and develop ICT effectively to support and enhance learning
  • Should have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and Maths
