The Head of Finance will be the operational financial lead for the Windsor & Maidenhead area working in a flexible hybrid way from home and our office.

This role will provide customer focused support to all stakeholders including the commissioning council. We are looking for an excellent and experienced finance professional to join us now.

About the role


Core responsibilities include:

  • Setting and monitoring budgets.
  • Closing the area at the end of the financial year.
  • Financial returns.
  • Identifying and delivering continual improvements and developments to the finance support function.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the company to deliver high quality children's services in a cost effective way.
About you

They should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in working as a Head of Finance or Finance Manager in a large and/or public sector organisation. Experience of working with the Dedicated Schools Grant would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with the operational senior leadership team.
  • Experience of successfully building & maintaining positive partnerships/relationships within a complex business
  • Experience of financial management of a distinct unit and/or of managing substantial budgets within a large organisation.
  • Experience of team management.
