Role:


The main purpose of the role is to deliver effective, ethical participatory online research with parents and carers living on a low-income.

The postholder will be responsible for direct contact with participants; supporting their involvement in media interviews, parliamentary events; and maintaining and updating the online infrastructure of the project.

They will also take a leading role in the analysis and writing up of the data emerging from this project.

This is a fixed-term, part-time (1 day per week) position for 12 months from May 2024 until April 2025.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed:


  • PhD in social policy or sociology or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience of online participatory research
  • Effective communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Confident, proactive approach to work, and readiness to develop innovative strategies to recruiting new participants
  • Knowledge of social security policy and strong engagement with poverty theory, policy and practice.
