As part of NHS's England's Growing Occupational Health Vision, our occupational health service is undergoing a period of significant change focused on improving the health and wellbeing of our staff.

We are developing our established team and have a number of exciting opportunities within the occupational health department, so now is a fantastic time to join us.


You will undertake aLevel 2 customer service Administration Apprenticeshipwhilst you work closely with your new team to gain the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours for this new role.

The duration of this apprenticeship will be15-18 months. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will progress into aBand 3 occupational Health administrative assistant.

To help us achieve our aims, we are looking for a highly motivated, well organised individual.


The post holder will work as an essential member of the occupational health and wellbeing team and support in delivering an effective, efficient, responsive and high quality service.


  • Provide administrative support to clinical teams and support services within standard administrative and/or reception procedures.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the service/department as a member of the team.
  • Work towards the completion of the selected apprenticeship standard whilst working closely with the team to gain the required skills, knowledge and behaviours for the role.

The post holder will be expected to:

  • Answering phone calls/taking messages
  • Maintaining the storage of files/folders on servers
  • Maintaining and uploading of OH electronic clinical notes/reports/appointments
  • Making OH appointments
  • Covering reception
  • Plan and organise a range of straightforward tasks as directed by senior staff in line with service provision e.g. booking of clinical appointments/venues, where there is a need to adjust or reallocate work.
To work as part of the MDT.

Our MDT currently comprises a range of health professions:
Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Clinical Psychology, OH Medical Practitioner, supported by our excellent Administrative Team.
