    Project Officer – Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement

    Our team at The Conservation Volunteers relies heavily on volunteers to help us achieve our goals, and this role is key in promoting volunteering opportunities across Northern Ireland.

    About the role

    The Project Officer will be responsible for recruiting volunteers for various conservation projects and events. Key activities include:

    • Recruiting volunteers for practical conservation projects and work on NIEA funded nature reserves and country parks.
    • Attending public and key partner events across Northern Ireland to promote TCV and volunteering opportunities.
    • Distributing promotional materials to public locations such as council venues and Jobs and Benefit offices.
    • Planning and uploading content to TCV's social media platforms and website.
    • Tracking the effectiveness of communication and promotion methods.
    • Designing and producing documents using Microsoft Office and other applications to promote volunteering.
    • Supporting local operational colleagues in welcoming and inducting new volunteers.

    Key skills and experience

    We are looking for someone with experience in promotional work, marketing, and social media. Previous experience in event management or volunteer coordination would also be beneficial.
