Accountancy Recruit is partnering exclusively with a Charity to recruit a Financial Controller for 3 days per week to work fully remotely from home.

The role will pay up to £30K for 3 days (£50K full time equivalent).

This role would suit an experienced ManagementAccountant or Financial Accountant ready to step up or an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller looking for a fully remote, flexible position.

The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

Produce financial statements including monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
Produce month end and year end journals.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for some accounts and review those performed by another team member.
Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decisions.
Mentor 1 team member responsible for all transaction posting and some reconciliations.
VAT returns.
Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
Liaise with Project Managers on monthly project performance and accounts.
Support the Finance Director with ad hoc projects or queries as required.

To be successful in this role the Financial Controller will have the following experience:

Relevant Professional Qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
Previous experience of a Financial Controller or Financial Accountant role or working within an accountancy practice.
Previous experience of accounts preparation.
Experience with complex reconciliations.
Experience of VAT.
Intermediate Excel and strong IT skills.
Strong interpersonal skills including experience of liaising with key stakeholders.
Able to work under pressure
Able to meet deadlines
Leadership skills; integrity; honesty; diplomacy.

The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
