The Role
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Almac Pharma Services have been manufacturing medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form for over 50 years.
We also pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes.
The expert services we provide supports the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Packaging & Logistics department in the role of
Technical Specialist.
The Technical Specialist leads the introduction of new products, equipment and processes including serialisation to support the growth of the wider Almac Pharma Services business.
A key member of the multi-disciplinary team, they will liaise closely with colleagues across Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, IS, and Client Services to ensure that suitable procedures are developed and in place for managing all aspects of these functions.
Excellent communications skills are essential for the role, as is previous experience presenting a structured approach to projects.The
Technical Specialist role varies from day to day.
From interacting with the Client as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and process owner for New Product Introduction (NPI), to investing time in identification and ownership of packaging equipment build and installation, to daily Operational support and problem-solving activities, the opportunities are endless.
As process owners, the Technical Specialist has responsibility for document generation, reviews, and approvals which are critical in supporting our equipment and product validation.
Timely and accurate execution of these documents ensures an efficient and effective product release whilst ultimately fulfilling our commitment to the patient and wider market.

Key Requirements
- A-Level, or equivalent level qualifications
- Previous experience undertaking Technical work or experiments
- Experience presenting a structured approach to Projects
- Experience and understanding of Technical Documentation
