Our clientis looking to recruit a
Community Fundraiser to join the fundraising team while working from their specialist palliative care facility based on
Chester Road in Wrexham_. _Offering
£13,800 pro rata (£23,000 FTE)on a
Part Time/Permanent basis.
Our client provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestryand Whitchurch.
About the Community Fundraiser role:
This role is responsible for all fundraising activity within a defined area.
This will include developing relationships with existing supports, building relationships with new supporters and encouraging third party fundraising activity within the local community.
They are ideally looking for a professional with at least two years' experience in one or more of the following fields; fundraising, marketing, sales, hospitality or similar.
Above all, the role requires experience with relationship management, combined witha proven track record of achieving financial targets.Community Fundraiser Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise fundraising opportunities for our client.
- Take responsibility for a personal income target that is set by the Head of Fundraising / Relationship Manager.
- Develop ongoing relationships with new and existing donors to maximise fundraising income.
- Support third party fundraisers and ensure they are enbabled to maximise their fundraising and sponsorship.
- Give presentations in the community to local organisations in order to increase awareness and generate support for Nightingale House Hospice.
- Manage the marketing of each fundraising event that you are responsible for, ensuring it receives maximum coverage.
Community Fundraiser Requirements:
- Ability to empathise.
- Experience in building relationships.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills.
- Ability to build, achieve and exceed financial targets.
- Experience working within the charity sector.
- Excellent time management skills.
