We have a very exciting opportunity working with a world-renowned London based Arts & Design institution where you can join a bright team of Research specialists working within the Development & Alumni Relations team.

The salary ranges between £39- 43k with a fantastic range of benefits including up to a fantastic 21% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday (plus bank hols and additional closure days) maternity, paternity and adoption pay.
The role sits within Development & Alumni Relations team with the main objectives of this role being:- Deliver high quality research in support of fundraising strategies, in particular identifying potential individual, corporate and trust and foundation major donor prospects.
- Prepare detailed research profiles on potential donors, supporters and influencers and to educate colleagues and senior managers ahead of meetings and events.
- Tailor a strategy for managing prospect lists and lead a regular prospect meeting with the fundraising team.
- Develop a donor tracking system utilising the database to aid donor stewardship.
- Create and roll out a gift acceptance policy that includes a donor scrutiny procedure
- Maintain an awareness of Higher Education philanthropy in the UK and Worldwide by reading relevant publications and attending aligned networking events
- Monitor the news and relevant publications to keep research profiles on current donors and prospects updated
- Use the fundraising database to record prospect/donor information in accordance with DPA
- Respond promptly to adhoc research requests such as prospect giving capacity
- Staying up to date on the latest research techniques by sourcing products and services available and identify best practice in research in the higher education fundraising sector
- Experience of working with data and managing data entry & extraction processes on a CRM/Fundraising database (Raiser's Edge)
- Knowledge of the Data Protectionand Freedom of Information Acts and relevance to fund raising
- Has the ability & knowledge to carry out due diligence reports on high level donors and engage with senior stakeholders
- Has exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work as needed
- High level communication skills, both oral and written, including a good command of the English language
- Comfortable working/communicating with academic and professional staff at all levels of seniority
- The ability to act tactfully and with discretion in dealing with highly confidential information and initiative, when handling the daytoday operations of the office
- The ability to work well within a team and with dynamic flexibility
- Has experience in planning and delivering events
- Experience in higher education postgraduate / doctoral market would be advantageous but not essential
The institution Is based in London but this role offers hybrid working with the current requirement to come into the office 3 days a week.
