Are you looking for a challenge? Looking to make a difference to other people's lives by helping to provide support to the community programme of the Salvation Army Chalk Farm Corps.


We are looking to recruit a part-time Community Assistant for 20 hours a week on a fixed term contract to 31st March 2025 to work with the Corps Officer and volunteers to run and grow our community programmes.

You will have experience of working with people and a keen interest to support our community and build relationships with the people who attend our programmes with colleagues and volunteers.


You should have both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants to create a welcoming and supportive environment and able to complete written and computer administration processes to ensure that accurate records are maintained.

To be successful in this role, you should have

  • Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives
  • Good communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and programme participants
  • A good level of English both spoken and written and numeracy at GCSE level or equivalent
  • Awareness of safeguarding people
