Kingdom Academy have an excellent opportunity for a
Housing Tutor (Work based Learning) to join our established and successful team.


Where:
This is home working role.**

Salary:
£36, £38,000.00 per annum (Dependent on experience)


Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday am pm.

Kingdom Academy is a national training provider which supports businesses in training and apprenticeships.

Purpose of role.

  • To be cohort leader on apprenticeship programmes
  • To be tutor on accredited and workbased learning programmes delivered by Kingdom Academy.
  • To support and coordinate a small cohort of apprentices through their learning journey.
  • To be involved with curriculum development including the design of accredited and nonaccredited training and work
- based learning programmes

  • To mark assignments, workbooks and projects
  • To resolve any issues that arise to ensure clients are satisfied, and where appropriate to liaise with Senior Management Team and Client Relations Manager to resolve these issues.
  • To support the team where directed in the coordination of accredited and apprenticeship programmes
  • To assist the Operations / QA manager and Programme Manager/s in the delivery of quality assurance processes including supporting their work with Ofsted, accreditation bodies (i.e., CIH, ILM, CMI City and Guilds) and the ESFA
  • You will also be required to escalate any matters relating to performance as per Kingdom Academy performance management procedures to senior managers.

Key duties and responsibilities of role

  • To support the work of Kingdom Staff in the delivery and administration of education programmes.
  • To undertake the role of Cohort Leader for housing and other apprenticeship and accredited programs.
  • To undertake the role of Tutor in the delivery of housing programmes as and when required.
  • To undertake the role of Apprenticeship Training Coordinator to a small cohort of apprentices.
  • To evaluate and provide feedback on apprentice's portfolios / projects in line with relevant apprenticeship standards.
  • To deliver nonaccredited training workshops.
  • To assist and support the team in the delivery of quality assurance processes including supporting their work with Ofsted, accreditation bodies (i.e., CIH, ILM, CMI City and Guilds) and the ESFA
  • To support the Operations / QA manager/s with their role/s including Quality Assurance processes, OFSTED visits and inspections/ ESFA data collation requirements
  • To be involved with curriculum development including the design and development of accredited and nonaccredited training programmes
  • To work with and support the work of Client Relations / Marketing Manager in developing and sustaining client relations.

  • Kingdom Academy use a blended delivery model, and there will be occasions when you will be required to travel to Leeds, London or any other venue.
  • As this role also includes working from home Kingdom Academy will provide all the IT equipment needed to do the job.
  • The successful applicant will need a suitable environment to be able to fulfil their professional duties 9 am 5 pm Monday to Friday when home working.

Personal attributes / experience

  • Housing related qualification at L4 or above / Management qualification at L3 or above
  • Relevant Teaching Qualification / To complete relevant qualification (minimum L3) within 12 months on commencement of post
  • Relevant Assessor qualification (Level 3) / Internal Verifier qualification ( Level 4 )
  • Understanding of the housing sector and extant policy and practice relating to the delivery of housing services and housing provision
  • Knowledge and understanding of apprenticeship training programmes and relevant accredited qualifications (CIH / ILM / CMI / City and Guilds)
  • A good understanding of the role of the CIH and Nat Housing Fed
  • An understanding of the FE sector and funding opportunities
  • Managing educational programmes and / or contract management including coordination of staff in the delivery of education programmes or contracts
  • Experience of working in an Adult Education / FE environment
  • Experience of working in the housing sector / Experience of delivery of training to housing staff / students
  • Excellent written, spoken, interpersonal and presentational skills
