Western Counties Roofing Ltd carries out roofing contracts for major developers throughout Devon, Cornwall & Somerset. Head office is in Heathfield, Newton Abbot with area offices in Bodmin, Wellington and Barnstaple.


We are looking for an experienced maintenance team coordinator in our Newton Abbot office to run our two teams on a day to day basis whilst managing the developers and homeowners expectations.

The ideal applicant would have some previous roofing experience but general construction experience would be an advantage.


What we are looking for

  • Someone who will bring new ideas and a fresh approach to the role.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with developers.
  • To be dynamic and have no problems with getting out on site to assess works must be comfortable with working at height.
  • Proactively look at new safety strategies.
  • Good IT skills.
  • The ability to manage teams you will need strong leadership skills.

Duties will include

  • Schedule and organise jobs as they come in creating task logs/tickets
  • Engage with homeowners and developers regarding new, past and upcoming appointments.
  • Manage customer care labour to carry out works including managing all aspects of Health & Safely.
  • Compile daily work schedules for the maintenance teams ensuring they have full understanding of the works to be completed.
  • Manage and organise materials required to complete works.
  • Create reports following completion of works or inspections for developers.
  • Generate revenue and managing quotes for any chargeable works
  • Identifying trends and holding meetings with inhouse contracts managers and site supervisors to reduce common issues recurring.
  • Engaging and creating relationships with developers customer care teams.
  • Work with directors to develop a new customer care logging and management system.

Day to Day

  • Meet with customer care teams ensuring they fully understand the days schedule.
  • Speaking with developers regarding outstanding jobs and scheduling new appointments with developers or homeowners.
  • Arranging materials through our inhouse buyers for future works.
  • Liaising with inhouse contracts managers regarding any onsite works that are required such as scheduling last minute works due to CML.
  • Writing reports on completed jobs for developers and closing jobs down on our system and developers portals.
  • Preparing new tickets for the teams next days work including full descriptions of the items to rectify and speaking to homeowners to confirm appointments.
  • Preparing invoices for chargeable works and chasing payment on overdue invoices.
Package

  • Full Time but parttime considered
  • Salary: Depending on experience (25k 35k)
  • Hours: 7.30am 4.30pm
  • This role is not suitable for homeworking.
  • Holidays: 33 days per year(Pro-Rata) including Bank Holidays
Probationary Period: 3 Months


Salary:
From £30,000.00 per year
