Job Purpose
As a Warehouse Person at our Cradle Heath branch, you are an integral part of our team, responsible for stock replenishment and order picking for delivery to our customers.
You will also book stock in/out via our computerised system and support the branch as necessary through occasional delivery of stock for our customers and serving on the trade counter.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for receiving and checking all deliveries
- Picking orders for delivery to customers
- Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner
- Ensure stock is ordered and replenished in timely manner to prevent customer delay
- Liaise with suppliers and handle queries relating to delivery and stock discrepancies
- Keep inventory management systems up to date
- Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or using heavy lifting equipment
- Support with the implementation of a stock and inventory control management system
- Conduct regular stock takes
- Provide Support in Trade Counter during busy periods
- Make recommendations for improvements within the warehouse on an ongoing basis
Key Skills and Behaviours
- Store experience highly advantageous
- Forklift driving licence advantageous
- Good understanding of Cutting Tools, Abrasives and PPE Products
- Confident IT Skills computerised stock management system
- Health and Safety knowledge
- Initiativetaking with a dedicated approach
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Good local geographical knowledge

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cradley Heath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
