This post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of governance in Hammersmith and Fulham schools.


H&F Governor Services provides advice, development and training to school governors, to allow them to fulfil their statutory function of ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction, in addition to holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils.


The core functions of the post are:

  • Working independently, you will lead and deliver the CPD and governance training, lead on the induction of new governors, undertake governance reviews, advise and liaise with governors, Headteachers and the wider School Improvement team on matters of governance.
  • Commitment to delivering innovative ways of working to establish service level agreements, as part of the development of the Governance offer in H&F.
  • Deliver on the H&F School Improvement Strategy including contributing to wider statutory and council priorities.

We are looking for:

  • A successful, confident and experienced practitioner with extensive and up todate knowledge of governance legislation.
  • Recent successful senior leadership experience (ideally in a school) including experience of performance management.
  • An understanding of outcomes for pupils, leadership and management, quality of education, behaviour and welfare in schools.
  • Excellent organisational, oral, written, and technology skills, are essential.
