Description

To support and advise managers on employee relations casework as delegated by the Senior HR Manager and Assistant HR Business Partner, ensuring cases are progressed in an efficient and timely manner in line with workforce KPIs.

Provide efficient and effective employee relations casework management processed including disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment, performance and attendance management. Supporting managers as an investigatory team, taking part in meetings, formal hearings and producing notes, formal minutes and reports. Ensuring this is compliant with law, policy and good practice.

To assist the Senior HR Advisors in the planning and implementation of Human Resources initiatives within the Trust.

To oversee the HR Service inbox and telephone queries received relating to employee relations matters, ensuring they are acknowledged in line with key performance indicators and progressed without delay.

To ensure that any documentation required for reports is completed within the defined timescales.

Linking in with the Senior HR Advisors, delivering people management training to up skill managers, and spotting areas for development based on queries received by the HR service.


To maintain accurate records of all employment related cases according to Trust policies and procedures, using the Trust ESR IT system and updating department records.

To maintain effective and efficient office systems and to make recommendations for improvement where appropriate. To support Human Resources Service at internal hearings and appeals. Planning and coordinating internal Human Resources meetings/hearings and taking minutes as requested.

To attend interview panels as required and assist with selection for posts.

To develop and maintain effective relationships with local and regional staff side/Union representatives in order to foster good Partnership working.

To actively contribute and support the development and provision of compassionate, informed and effective human resources policies, procedures and practices to meet the strategic aims of the Trust and the Department.

To undertake specific projects and tasks as directed by the Senior HR Advisor.

To attend department and team meetings as appropriate. To co-ordinate training and provide support to Divisions when new Human Resources Policies are introduced as requested. To be responsible for identifying own role-related objectives and training needs as part of the staff appraisal programme. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the job grade.
