We are currently recruiting for a CNC Programmer / Operator to work for a thriving successful manufacturing company based just outside of Burton on Trent, Staffordshire within their modern, well equipped and friendly work environment.

This role is a permanent full time opportunity.

CNC Programmer / Operator key job details:

8am
4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary is dependent on experience
Permanent role

CNC Programmer / Operator job duties:

Programming and setting CNC plant and creating part programs and methodology on current plant which includes
Citizen L32 Sliding Head, ABX 80 Miyano Twin-Spindle/Multi Turret Lathe. Current program software
FANUC 31iB (ABX) and Mitsubishi (L32).
Ensure all programs are saved and organised as per our company procedure.
Plan and specify tooling requirement for production, including fixture and cutting tool list.
Ensure machining processes are optimised, particularly on large batches.
Support and advise other employees when required, in machining and programming techniques.
Assist sales with technical advice, simulations & recommendations.
Work to develop company procedures in a continuously improving environment.

CNC Programmer / Operator person specification:

Experience of programming and setting CNC plant and creating part programs and methodology on current plant. Current plant includes
Citizen L32 Sliding Head, ABX 80 Miyano Twin-Spindle/Multi Turret Lathe. Current program software
FANUC 31iB (ABX) and Mitsubishi (L32).
An excellent communicator and team player
Proven experience with Citizen machinery fixed and sliding head
Proven experience with CAD/CAM Software Fusion 360
Used to working in a variety of materials and often to tight tolerances.
Able to use initiative in the task's undertaken.
