The Role - External Compliance Coordinator
The role of the External Compliance Coordinator is to support providers in the delivery, development, review and assessment of RQF qualifications, customised and QEL/ IF provision.
This includes assessing and reviewing the ability of centres to meet regulatory and AIM Group recognition and quality assurance requirements and to support them in implementing AIM Group processes.
Key activities for this role include:
Provide information, advice and guidance in relation to assessment, internal and external quality systems and processes to centres offering RQF, customised and IF provision.
Support the Compliance Manager to complete all compliance functions required.
Work as part of the AIM Group team and contribute to the review and development of AIM Group self-assessment and quality activities including audit and review.
Contribute to the on-going risk assessment of centres and the completion of risk assessment records
Ensure the annual declaration process is followed and completed by all centres
Conduct spot checks as per the agreed annual plan
Support with incident management process.
Support and coordinate quality audit visits and investigations where appropriate
Support the process of centre and learner sanctions.
Support with Reasonable adjustments and Special considerations (Internal assessment only) process
Manage and Monitor Action plans from the outcomes of investigations and centre sanctions
Log all external compliance events on the organisation MIS system
Support with the process of random sampling identification (CASS)
Coordinate centre based action plans based on the outcomes of External Quality Assurance
Contribute, as appropriate, to the planning of AIM Group training events.
Promote, deliver and contribute to the quality assurance of Assessor, Internal Quality Assurance, External Quality Assurance and other relevant quality training both internally and externally.
Contribute to Centre Compliance handbook and relevant centre facing support documents to support continuous compliance
The minimum requirements for this role are;
Essential
Understanding of Post-16 education and life long learning
Understanding the function of awarding organisations and the regulatory structures they operate within
Monitoring and reviewing quality assurance systems across a wide range of providers
Understanding Reasonable Adjustments and Special Considerations
Understanding of Recognition of prior learning and Accreditation of prior learning
Desirable
Recognised quality assurance qualification (e.g. Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
Qualified to level 4 or above or significant relevant experience
Recognised internal quality assurance and assessor qualifications
Experience of conducting investigations and evidence gathering
Experience of conducting quality assurance visits with providers
Direct experience of criteria referenced assessment
Experience of external assessment
A minimum of level 2 in English and Numeracy is required for this role
Knowledge and experience of developments in credit-based learning
The following skills and experience are also required:

Experience of writing reports to a high standard
