Description
I'm looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join a very successful Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Glasgow.
They specialise in the design, build and implementation of cloud-based ERP solutions in the world of Microsoft.


Role Responsibilities;:


  • Logging and keeping all IT tickets up to date on Zendesk
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving of Customer Azure environment issues
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving of Customer Dynamics NAV/BC technical issues
  • Configure/troubleshoot IPSec/vNET connections to our customers if required for their environment
  • Assist with building environments where needed
  • Assisting Application Support Teams with investigations where necessary, particularly around performance issues
  • Monitoring N-Central and other agent tools and alert systems and responding to them proactively to prevent impact to the customer
  • Undertake various Azure IT Projects within the business
  • Assist Project Teams where needed

Role Requirements;:


  • General IT knowledge and understanding of Servers, Networking, services, Event Viewers, troubleshooting, SMTP, Remote Desktop, basic Domain and Server Admin (adding users, changing user permissions etc.)
  • The Azure Portal and be comfortable navigating around and using it
  • Azure Firewalls, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, Vnet Peering, and other Azure technologies and tools
  • SFTP and Azure Storage options
  • Exposure to and familiarity with PowerShell
  • Understanding Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC on technical level (Functional knowledge is an advantage)
  • Some exposure and knowledge of basic SQL tasks such as creating SQL Logins, adding Firewall Rules, backups and restores etc.
  • Some exposure to Terraform will be an advantage
  • Some exposure to N-Able N-Central Agent will be an advantage
  • Some exposure to Dynamics NAV or Business Central will be a big advantage


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join a very well established business that has over 500 customers, over 300 employees and offers lots of career progression.

The salary is £45-65,000 plus an excellent benefits package and is hybrid-working of 1-2 days per month in the office.
