Experienced Senior Project Manager required by this busy main contractor to take the lead for the delivery of a complex £30m scheme in Oxford.

Construction works include new build steel frame commercial office, laboratory and hospitality residential. Withmain works due to commence on site in January to run for 2 years.

Scope of work for this main contractor will include projects up to £50m in value in the secondary and higher education sector, student accommodation, mixed use, high spec residential and leisure sectors in the Oxfordshire, Berkshire and West London area.

As Project Manager within the business, you will be responsible for the second stage tender and subsequent on site delivery of the larger schemes that the region delivers.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing the clientrelationship throughout, and the project delivery through late second stage preconstruction phase, through to start on site and then construction though to handover.

You will lead your project team holding ultimate responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programming of works, the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, and financial control of the project with thecommercial team plus safety, quality control and delivery on time.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The client is the busy regional office of a national main contractor, with a turnover in excess of £80m in the region, with secured workload in the key sectors, and excellent pipeline of work.

Projects range in size from £25m to £50m, secured through a mixture of national frameworks, negotiated schemes with repeat clients and competitive tenders.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will ideally be an experienced Senior / Project Manager with a proven track record within a Tier 1 main contracting organisation, able to deliver design & build schemes up to £40m+ in value. Key attributes will include excellent client, designteam and site team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.
