The Operations Assistant Role
This role will be a job share with alternative Saturday mornings as part of the shift pattern.
The role will support the General Manager by in the day to day operational duties required to run the space, including service in the café.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening or closing the building each day
- Preparation of our café and other rooms for various activities
- Supervising and assisting café volunteers
- Assisting with the day to day running of the service in the café
- Ensuring transactions recorded correctly through the till and receipt book
- Assisting with regular Health & Safety checks
- Assisting with volunteer recruitment and inductions and handling the associated administration
- Occasional operational cover for the General Manger during any periods of absence.
- Preparation of basic soup and sandwich lunch until such time as we have a catering manager in place (or in their absence)

Is this you?
- Level 3 food safety for supervisors
- First aid in the workplace
- Fire marshal training
- Knowledge of basic Health and Safety
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of products to carry out the administrative aspects of the role
Working Hours
- Alternate weekly shifts with another Operations Assistant
- Hours will either be 10am1pm or 1pm to 4pm
- week hours to include Saturday morning.)
Based on site, reporting to the General Manger
Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: per week
Salary:
£9,075.82 per year
