We currently have positions available for QA assistants within the Technical team at PDM Produce.

Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 12 hours shifts.

This will be working a Night Shift

Hourly rate will start at £13.93.
Pay rate will be dependent on Experience.

As part of the PDM team the QA will report directly to the QA Supervisor and indirectly to the Technical Manager.

A good level of English is required, with good team working and people skills. You must be flexible and organised, able to work autonomously and under pressure. Flexibility is this role is essential to ensure a smooth operation within the Department.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

To assure the quality process is maintained from end to end, ensuring all product leaving PDM is within customer specification.
Quality Assessment of raw material and finished product produced and / or labelled at PDM (including label information) as required/requested.
QA of High Care and Low Risk facilities auditing and verification of Line Leader checks and procedures, including performing "Red Pen" checks. Maintain QA records. Ensure these are accurate and up to date and audit ready at all times.
Auditing and verifying Line Leader Green Light and other checks. Make sure that checks have been completed to the required schedule and standard, and are correct, and report issues in a timely manner to Line Leader, Shift Supervisor and QA Supervisor. In the event of failure to comply with the improvement escalate the issue to Quality and Production Managers.
Support proactively team to implement improvements to the quality system, whilst working alongside and aiding manufacturing processes for the production in spec product.
Collect shelf life and microbial samples from Line Leaders, Insert sample data into the PDM system.
Flexibility to work in all areas when required from the department.
Maintaining and monitoring salad bowls shelflife for all finished products. Report any issues to Production Managers and Technical team.

Average 38.5hr week

Experience in FMCG business essential
