Fylde Fresh and Fabulous are a well-established family run potato business based on the Fylde Coast near Weeton.

We are now one of the largest potato processing firms in the UK with just over 70 employees and counting.

We grow, harvest, store, process and deliver fresh potato products to food manufacturers, distributors, and vegetable processors around the UK.

We operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Role:
Shift Supervisor

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the factory production line, to meet the production schedule while complying with all set procedures and to manage the staff working in the factory.

Duties will include:

To operate the plant and machinery in line with agreed operating procedure, and complying with health and safety requirements, including starting procedures and stopping procedures
Operate the plant within the guidelines set out in the company's Quality Manual to comply with BRC
To understand the production schedule and ensure that any issues are raised with the Production Manager in good time for resolution
To check the line before the shift to ensure all guards are in place and safety/hygiene equipment is available for staff on arrival
To ensure the correct specification of raw material is going into the factory ensuring the production meets the customers finished product specification.
To operate the peeler ensuring settings comply with production schedule and maximise yield of finished product.
To monitor the quality of the product through the line against specifications and correct when required.
To ensure correct loading of all finished product and ensure correct Volumes
Collate and produce accurate and effective daily records as set out by the Production Manager and to comply with BRC requirements
To clean machinery at the end of working day or between products to ensure no contamination of finished goods
To manage staff performance issues, including attendance, and highlight any issues to the Factory to allow corrective action to be taken.
To take responsibility of Health & Safety for themselves and those around them under the Health & Safety at work Act 1974

Skills:

You must have good written and verbal English
Experience of Process production
Evidence of commitment to quality and meeting customer requirements
Supervisory experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and Organising skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Have an understanding of BRC and HACCP control.

This role is based near Kirkham in Lancashire so having your own transport is an advantage due to the location of the business.

£ £24.20 per hour (Whilst training, increasing to £ £25.04 upon successful completion)
