Theatre Practitioners specialising in both Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our team

Salary range Up to £36,000 per year + 4 % shift allowance:

Our new theatres provide a full range of diagnostic and surgical services, including acute and complex cancer care.

With access to the latest equipment our expert surgeons can continue to provide the most advanced diagnostic procedures and surgical techniques.

The latest addition to the hospital is our newly installed da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system designed to provide surgeons with greater flexibility and precision across a wide range of mínimally-invasive surgical procedures.


The Role

  • To ensure that professional and national standards are met in accordance to the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health Professions Council (HPC) and HCA's Code of Conduct.
  • To provide clinical leadership and support colleagues to plan, monitor and evaluate skilled and appropriate care for patients undergoing different forms of surgery to ensure the provision of evidencebased care.
  • Prepare the recovery room according to the individual needs of the patient and consultant.
  • The post holder must act as a role model in providing specialist knowledge within the scrub area.
  • To work as part of a team supporting and developing colleagues by mentoring and assessing their skills.

Skills & Experience

  • Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse qualified
  • Post graduate experience in Theatres
  • ALS trained
  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
