Purpose of the Role
The Caretaker is responsible for the cleaning and minor maintenance of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Plumbing jobs
Painting works
Installing washing machines and other white goods, changing lights bulbs and checking smoke alarms
Basic maintenance (changing door handles etc)
Undertake gardening and outside maintenance, when required.
Regularly clear roof drains/balcony drains
Escort contractors when required.
Some cleaning duties
Work with Management office reporting all issues.
Work with security to assist with incidents.
Assist stock control of cleaning supplies.
Grit/salt public and staff areas/ assist with flood cleanup in extreme weather conditions
Residential bins tidy/litter pick during the day.
To cover sickness and holiday of security when required.
Carry out weekly/monthly checklists.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Previous experience in a caretaker/handyman role including some basic plumbing/painting and joiner skills
Ability to demonstrate good levels of customer service at all times.
Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
Honest and reliable work ethic.
Willingness to partake in onsite training for emergency procedures.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as and when required.
Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
Well presented.
Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
