Overall Purpose of the Role:


Following the launch of the pioneering Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust (SBSI), we are excited to be recruiting an Investor Engagement Officer to be part of a talented team of investment professionals taking this product forward to successful delivery.

You will support the Head of Investor Engagement to manage relationships with existing and potential investors in the Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust and support the wider investor engagement team to build awareness of social impact investment.

The position will sit within our dynamic investor engagement team, working closely with investment and communications team members focussed on the investment trust, our partner, Schroders and the wider Big Society Capital (BSC) team.


You will be responsible for:


Investment Trust Supporting the Head of Investor Engagement to deliver outstanding content in the form of investor presentations and other marketing material.

Managing investor requests for information and due diligence questionnaires as well as creating and managing a database of current investors and prospects.

Responding to ad hoc requests and acting as a central point for trust investor communications, coordinating between multiple relevant functions within Schroders and BSC, including investment, communications and impact teams.

Investor Engagement Supporting the wider investor engagement team to build and manage relationships across channels including with individuals and their advisers, financial institutions, family offices, pension funds and other institutional investors.

Researching potential investors, as directed, to better understand their business priorities and identify opportunities to align their interests with those of the social investment sector.

Projects Where required, supporting in the delivery of other BSC projects that require investor engagement such as fundraising for other social impact investment projects.

Person profile
Essential experience Marketing, analysis, investor relations or sales support experience (ideally in the financial sector) Working to tight deadlines to source information, design and produce outstanding presentations and other marketing materials Proven experience of writing communications for and speaking confidently to a range of audiences
Desirable experience Understanding of and exposure to client strategy development, identifying and qualifying prospects and supporting customer journeys from awareness to final outcomes Success in a role that involves significant client relationship management

Skills, abilities and attributes We are looking for a self-motivated individual, capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team Strong ability to identify, interpret, design and build key investment ideas in the form of presentations and other marketing material.

Passionate about the role that social impact investment can play in helping improve lives across the UK, excited about raising our profile across our target audiences Understanding of financial institutions, their internal structures and decision-making processes Proven relationship building skills and an understanding of investor needs.

Strong stakeholder and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with external contacts at all levels Conscientious with strong attention to detail Well organised and analytical with an ability to follow through on projects Confident in Powerpoint, Excel and Word, with an appetite for continual development of own digital and tech skills Salary and
