What's different about being an Advanced Practitioner in Oldham?

We work with one of the most diverse communities of any local authority in the country and this is reflected within our workforce which we believe is one of our greatest strengths.

The life experiences and challenges facing our children and families are incredibly varied and require an inclusive response which recognises the family's unique strengths and works with them to achieve solutions.

Here in Oldham, we are committed to systemic practice, with a focus on building relationships with children and families, understanding context and family dynamics, and reflectively learning together, always improving how we work.

Here's the role

In the role you will be responsible for a complex caseload, which will require you to have significant skill and experience in front line social work.

A significant part of the role will be to champion practice development by mentoring, guiding, and developing less experienced social workers, and contributing to a highly skilled and effective workforce.

You will work closely with the Principal Social Worker to focus on the quality of practice utilising the latest research, theories, and tools to build children and young people's resilience.

If you relish the opportunity to make a difference in Oldham, we would like to hear from you.
