The Professional Development Unit requires a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Administrator to provide administrative support for an extremely busy administrative team.


Under the direction of the Senior Programme Administrator and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a student focused, integrated delivery of cost effective and efficient programme administrative support service.


The tasks will include front line contact with staff and students responding to their queries covering a range of administrative activities.

Working alongside programme administrators you will assist in maintaining student records and programme documentation using a variety of IT packages.

The post requires a flexible attitude in an ever-changing environment with good team working and organisational skills, IT and keyboard skills, the ability to identify and seek resolutions to problems, and able to work within tight deadlines.

Good communication skills are essential. Minute taking is an advantage. Experience in a student related environment is preferred.


This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 6th September 2024 due to absence cover.

The post will be located in the Rolle Building situated on the University's main campus within the city centre.
