We're looking for a SQL Server Admin to join our Manufacturing Team in Telensa's office in Cambridge, UK.


The aim of this role is to make a production process as efficient as possible, so factories can make goods and products on time and on budget.

As a SQL Server Admin, your objective is to be responsible for the continuous improvement of our Manufacturing tools so we can ensure we are producing the best products for our customers.

What you'll do

Responsibility for the systems which manufacture and dispatch Telensa products including:

  • Developing LEAN manufacturing systems and processes (SQL).
  • Ownership of inventory management databases, equipment calibration tools and visual inspection audit data.
  • Owning inventory management, equipment calibration and visual inspection.
  • Responsible for manufacturing system architecture.
  • Commissioning and decommissioning production lines and test equipment.
  • Stakeholder in the design and implementation of ERP and MRP systems.


Your qualifications- Expertise in Software, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.- Experience in a similar field working together with complex electromechanical systems.- MS SQL Server (2012 onward).- Writing Stored Procedures/Functions/Triggers.- Some experience of Linked Databases.- Some Database Administration and Relation Database Design experience.- .Net Programming (Windows Desktop Applications).- Git.- Experience writing to SATO printers an advantage.- Investigate and fix production issues, bugs, errors, etc.

(First/Second Line Support).- Write and maintain documentation using CogniDox.- Open to infrequent travel.
