NDT INSPECTOR REQUIRED GAINSBOROUGH, LINCOLNSHIRE. IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE, £15.77/HOUR
Our client based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire are currently looking for a welding/NDT Inspector to start as soon as possible (starting early January.)

Key responsibilities:


  • Carry out the roles/responsibilities as define in BSEN ISO1473
  • Ensure products (where applicable) comply to BSEN ISO15085 or BSEN ISO1090.
  • Ensuring all new products/processes meet BSEN ISO3834 requirements, by supporting the project/manufacturing engineering team(s) & implement the appropriate processes to ensure existing products/process meet BSEN ISO3834 requirements.

These are to be done by:

  • Setting up any traceability processes to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Generate preliminary weld procedure specification & weld procedure specifications for the development projects & existing products.
  • Facilitate the generation of weld procedure qualification records to comply with BSEN ISO15614/1561
  • Support the welder qualification process to comply with BSEN ISO a.
  • Carry out nondestructive & destructive testing.
  • Regularly auditing the relevant processes to ensure compliance to the relevant standards.
  • To assist with any investigation activities, to be proactive and to deliver feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Undertake necessary, identified training by the company, to allow you to progress in this role and to train of any identified staff.
  • Any other duties assigned in line with scope of role.

Essential Key skills:


  • CSWIP weld inspector
  • Ability to perform various NDT weld inspection methods (incl Dye Penetrant Testing/Visual Inspection/Macro Examination).
  • Ability to read, analyse & interpret engineering drawings & update drawings to ensure compliance to BSEN ISO255
  • Ability to create technical documentation and display good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and liaise across functions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and techniques
  • Ability to introduce new methods and ideas ensuring a continuous improvement ethos
  • Demonstrates attention to detail through all stages of processes
  • Can work and communicate effectively with others
