Volunteer Furniture Retail Assistants required for our busy large shops.

Do you want to help make a big impact by supporting a charity whilst also gaining a step up in the retail industry?
Volunteering with us will do just that.

Help support Katharine House Hospice, who deliver first class care for people within our Stafford hospice and our local communities.

We are looking for volunteers to source furniture to sell in our larger stores. Could you encourage your local community to recycle their unwanted furniture by donating it to their local Katharine House Hospice Shop? Could you help to build and maintain friendly relationships in the local community and talk to local businesses about surplus stock they could donate?

Join your local Katharine House Hospice Shop in this flexible and unusual volunteer role that will have a big impact, helping to continue to fund care for the people of Staffordshire and the surrounding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To find new ways to source furniture donations from the local community.
To source free furniture donations from online platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and local free selling sites/groups.
To build relationships with local businesses and organization's to source any donations of surplus furniture or exdisplay stock.
The option to spend time in store contacting our prebooked furniture collection donators to confirm collections and encourage our donators to sign up for the Gift Aid Scheme.
The option to spend time in our stores working with the teams to display furniture.

Work your own hours, even if it's just a few a week
No previous experience necessary, all training will be given. Just bring your can-do attitude Looking for reliable and friendly people who will become part of the team.

You can work from home in this varied role, and we would welcome you to come and fulfill this role in person at any of our larger stores located in Cannock WS11 7GF, Hanley ST1 5HR, Leek ST13 5JE, Newport TF10 7AQ, Norton Bridge near Stone ST15 0NS, Stoke ST4 4DR and Stafford ST16 3DR.
