JOB DESCRIPTION:


Position Title:
Operations Officer (Opps Officer) -
Maternity cover

Reports to:
Chief Executive Officer/Chair of Board of Trustees


Based at:
EA's office at 66 Nottingham Road, Loughborough, LE11 1EU


ROLE OVERVIEW:
To provide maternity cover for the Operational Officer post. You will be responsible for the organisational day-to-day management as communicated by the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and set by the Board of Trustees (BoT).


1. Key targets for this role (7 months cover)

  • Coordinate the efficient and effective daytoday operation of EA (includes taking minutes at meetings)
  • Support on a daytoday basis the performance and delivery of the Project Officers,
Case Workers and volunteers including time sheets.

  • Oversee membership renewal for the organisation
  • Assist CEO and staff with compilation of annual report, newsletters and other publications
  • Assist CEO in coordinating events during this period (AGM, Public Lecture etc)
  • Assisting where required with booking casework appointments and answering phone calls/taking messages.

Working conditions:

The post holder will be based at EA offices (66 Nottingham Road, Loughborough) and will be required occasionally to work outside office hours such as in the evenings or at a weekend to accommodate activities such as Board meetings and
EA at public events.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:


  • Flexibility to cope with the varying demands of the role, managing time effectively to achieve the desired results.
  • Good administration and organisational skills with good experience of using office systems.
  • Works well in a team and stays focused under pressure.
  • Able to work flexibly and some out of office hours.

Desirable:


  • Some experience of working in a charity/community/voluntary, not for profit environment
  • Project management skills and experience.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract


Salary:
£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
