Technical Consultant
Reqiva are currently partnered with a Leading software Consultancy based in Reading. They are currently looking to hire a Technical Consultant with customer facing experience.
The focus is on improving business performance through digital transformation and software automation. As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering technical and consulting excellence to clients.
Up to £65k per annum working hybrid 1 day a week, excellent progression opportunities.
Technical Consultant Responsibilities:
Consulting Delivery:
- Leads the delivery of client projects to deliver billable consulting services around our partner products.
- Participates in the full project life cycle, taking ideas from concept through full deployment.
- Applies project management methodology effectively in a wide variety of situations and adapts methodology to new situations.
- Uses technical competence and implementation experience to develop functional and technical solution skills.
- Passion to learn new skills and an ability to work with limited supervision.
Pre-sales
- Assists in the creation of detailed sales proposals.
- Conducts technical demos and participates in customer calls when necessary.
Leadership
- Acting as the accountable consultant for client engagements.
- Ability to motivate others and always be available to lend a helping hand.
- May be given responsibility as a team coach, leading and mentoring small teams of up to 8 members.
Technical Consultant Skillset:
- At least 2 years of experience in IT consultancy.
- Experience with relevant technologies and tools, such as Atlassian products (e.g., Jira and Confluence).
- Strong motivation to learn new skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud technologies, preferably including AWS.
- Proficiency in programming languages, operating systems, and databases like Java, Python, SQL, Windows, and Linux.
Desirables:
- Experience collaborating with sales teams to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Experience with Atlassian.
- A relevant STEM degree with a minimum of a 2:1 classification.
- Excellent leadership skills and a willingness to support and motivate others.
