Working full-time from our

Dumfries'

offices, you will be supervising and controlling all accounting functions for two of our UK sites (Dumfries and St. Neots).

  • This position is vital to Gates as you will oversee invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, cash control, tax and general ledger while supporting a culture of continuous improvement regarding the department's processes
  • You will be assuring that all accounting procedures are in accordance with Gates policies and procedures and with all local government laws and regulations

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Leading monthly financial closing in line with group's reporting instructions and overseeing the preparation, analyze and reconciliation of all accounting reports required by management
  • Coordinating and submitting monthly forecast and annual budget data in line with group's instructions
  • Assisting local plant management to ensure proper and efficient internal control and making recommendations to maximize profitability and cash generation
  • Ensuring that the work is performed in line with the documented control activities, and to immediately inform the Sarbanes Oxley Coordinator if control activities are/become ineffective (due to changes in personnel, responsibility,?)

ABOUT YOU

  • Fully qualified accountant with a Master's degree in finance or economics
  • At least 5 years prior experience in financial and management accounting in an international manufacturing environment
  • Fluency in English is a must
