My favourite client, one of the Top 100 names in the legal sector, is welcoming a
2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis
You'll be based in the Guildford office (onsite) providing 2nd Line Support with:

-Citrix - 100% Citrix environment.
(In-depth knowledge in the use and administration of Citrix. This might involve troubleshooting such as terminating user sessions, re-establishing failed connections, ensuring sessions are appropriately split across our Citrix servers and more).

-Azure - Extensive knowledge.
(In-depth knowledge of Azure including direct work experience within a firm operating using Azure Active Directory. You will be used to tracing problems to the root cause including a good understanding of policy management within Azure AD. You should be comfortablein the deployment of group and user policies and be able to troubleshoot instances where policies are believed to be the underlying cause of unexpected system permissions or behaviours).

-Networking knowledge - Intermediate standard.
(An intermediate standard - this would be limited to diagnosing faults with confidence so that infrastructure-related incidents can be effectively relayed, ruling out any obvious causes such as a device without power, laptop not connected to Wi-Fi etc. Hereyou might use command prompts such as 'ping' to identify whether an item of hardware is reachable. From here you will use your deep knowledge of networking architecture to trace the problem to the likely root cause (for example, a faulty switch, patch cableetc) before handing over the call to a member of our infrastructure team).

  • Active Directory permissions, users, groups
  • Windows Server 2003+
  • ITIL environment (desirable)
  • ServiceNow / an equivalent ticketing system
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Customer Service skills
