Job opportunity for a Band 5 nurse or midwife with experience in providing sexual and reproductive health care to develop their specialist skills and to work in the world class fully integrated NHS Lothian Sexual & Reproductive Health Service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced nurse/midwife to work in Lothian Sexual and Reproductive Health Service (LSRHS).

The fully integrated service is composed of Chalmers Centre and up to 10 local clinics (pre-Covid).

It provides Tier 4 and 5 specialist sexual health services working across 4 Community Health and Social Care Partnerships meeting the needs of 80,000 patient attendances per annum.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday or with a minimum of one evening shift per week and the possibility of long days in some circumstances.

The post holder would be expected to participate in the care of people requiring Genitourinary Medicine, HIV, Contraceptive, unplanned pregnancy and gynaecological care.

There may be opportunities to gain an understanding of Gender Identity, psychosexual problems, menopause and other more specialist fields of practice located within LSRHS.
