Founded in 1985, King Asia Foods Ltd has become one of the leading specialist oriental food manufacturers in Europe, supplying meals and components for retail, food-service and other manufacturers.

We are currently looking to recruit for the position of
Assistant Buyer.

Working Hours
8.30 a.m to 17.00 p.m. (Monday to Friday)

Job Brief

As an Assistant Buyer you will be a key part of our company's purchasing department and you will help with all of the buying activities.

You will help the buyer to source and purchase raw materials needed for successful production at the best price available and within agreed quality specifications.

You will research the markets for materials and make recommendations to the buyer.

You will also have to collaborate with production and planning colleagues to ensure that materials are available in the right quantity at the right time.

Main Duties

Ensuring all materials are purchased on time, to specification, and at the best price available
Negotiating with suppliers and building long term relationships
Liaising with planning and production staff for forecasting purposes
Coordinating deliveries and maintaining suitable stock levels
Making sure stock is rotated effectively and waste minimised
Identifying new and alternative sources of supply for products and making recommendations to the buyer
Network through trade shows and other industry events
Review & improve KPI's
Building and maintaining strong sound supplier ordering routines & relationships
Trading competitively with suppliers to get the best possible deal and ensuring our continued longlasting partnerships with suppliers

Salary:
£20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
